In Burbank, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across California, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. The brisket burrito is one of the best breakfast burritos ive ever had. Its become a staple

Been coming here for years and their menu has been great. Known for their Brisket Burritos, Fairfax egg sandwich and that Salmon Eggs Benedict on weekends that I have yet to find another establishment or restaurant with such a mouth watering hollandaise sauce. Regarding their coffee, its wonderful. Agreed their to go cups are a bit in the small size versus other coffee shops, but at least the coffee you get will leave you with a satisfying morning smile. One last good thing I appreciate are the familiar employees that have been there for years. Consistency in every aspect is found here. But its not all perfect. I understand dogs are welcome, and I love dogs, its the owners that come in and start blocking the path to get to the order counter, who start conversations with other dog owners who create a barrier. Especially for those with an entitled mentality who will hardly to not budge to let you pass. This effects the experience to others, so maybe Commissary can continue to allow our friendly dogs to be apart of the atmosphere, but add and enforce some common sense rules for the experience of others and safety. Next time your in town, keep this place on your short list to try.

This coffee shop was near our hotel and we only intended to stop by once but ended up coming back everyday. The coffee is genuinely delicious. The pastries are also super tasty too. The cookies especially are great. There’s ample seating indoors and outdoors on a little patio. They also have their own parking for about 5 cars. Highly recommend!

The food here is pretty good but the service is abysmal. I've been here multiple times and it's always the same scene: one poor worker busting their butt while the two-three others converse amongst each other taking their dear sweet time with the orders. Last time I was there, the decaf dirty chai I ordered wasn't decaf so I asked it to be made correctly. The two girls argued with me that Chai has caffeine even after I (and their own co-worker) had already clarified that the espresso shot was to be decaf. Instead of apologizing or even a 'my bad' they just look disgusted before making it correctly and resuming their private conversation. Very unprofessional and I feel bad for the one guy who had to deal with them all day.

Commissary Coffee in Burbank is the perfect spot if you’re looking for a strong, bold cup of coffee to kickstart your day, seriously, their brews will wake you right up. But it’s not just about the caffeine; the vibe here is super chill and creative. It’s also a great place to park your laptop and get work done. The space has a modern, minimal look with plenty of natural light and good energy. Whether you’re rushing in for a quick pick-me-up or planning to stay awhile and work, this place totally delivers. Cool staff, good music, and great coffee.
